Hello and welcome to the Bluestem Angus website.
Here I would like to introduce some of the cattle we have in our herd. Bluestem Angus Ranch was started in the Flint Hills of Kansas by Richard D. Patton in the early 1950's. He bought a bull from K-State named Bluestem Hills and started breeding registered Angus cattle. Once the small herd was established, Dick continued the Bluestem cow line for decades, ultimately transplanting to Lindsborg, KS where these same bloodlines are still strong. Developing herd bulls has always been a focus here, bulls that can be put out to grass and service cows within a respectable time.
